Infinity symbol correct use
The infinity symbol (also known as the brand mnemonic) is not to be confused with a logo or sub brand. It is simply a communication tool/device used to demonstrate and endorse La Trobe’s unique positioning amongst its competitors. It is not to share space with the armorial bearings but may sit beside the La Trobe corporate brand mark. Ultimately it is a ‘way of thinking’ in the consumer's mind.
Certain rules apply when reproducing the brand mnemonic to ensure it remains clear and consistent across every application.
Above are examples of how the mnemonic can be used on a black, white or coloured background.
Certain rules apply when reproducing the infinity symbol to ensure that it remains clear and consistent whenever it is applied.
These rules include:
* Minimum size; * Clear space; * and colours.
Minimum size To avoid reproduction problems, the brand mnemonic must not be reproduced at a size where the width of the wordmark is less than 25mm. This applies to all forms of reproduction.
Clear space Clear space is the area surrounding the mnemonic which is designated as a non-print area. Wherever possible please allow more space than indicated as a clear space area.
Colours The brand mnemonic must only be reproduced in its full colour red/orange form.
Small sections of the infinity symbol can be reproduced in faculty colours. These should only be used where it is necessary to visually distinguish a faculty's promotional material. |
